Our company began with a recommendation from a friend: Just save your used coffee grounds, dry them out, and burn them to keep mosquitoes away. A quick search online backed it up, so my family gave it a try.

Drying the grounds took time. It made the whole house smell, and if we didn’t act fast, wet grounds would mold. Burning fresh coffee? That was too expensive and felt wasteful. Not all grounds burn evenly, the wind would scatter them, and honestly, not everyone enjoys the smell of burnt coffee.

Still, we were curious. We kept experimenting, solving one problem at a time. Over time, that curiosity turned into a sustainable small business.

Today, our products are a proprietary blend of recycled coffee grounds and sawdust, collected from other small businesses here in North Georgia. We infuse each batch with a variety of essential oils—several of which are known to help repel mosquitoes, including citronella, cinnamon, and cedar.
